Bentley has just built their last L Series engine. The iconic Rolls Royce desi gned 6.75L (and previously 6.25L) mill has been in service since 1959, and served in every Rolls & Bentley model till their respective takeovers by Ze Germans, as well as being available for a while in a marine ver si on . T hey claim it’s had the longest production run of any car engine in history .
That’s the last vestige of Rolls/Bentley as an independent car company gone (sobs ).

I’ve always wanted an old Bentley with one of those engines, even just so I can say I have a
six and three-quarter litre, not a
six point seven five

Plus as a bonus you’d get to say your horspower was “adequate”. Or “more than a dequate” if you had a turbo one. Worth doing for that alone.
